Meridian Capital was forged by combining 60+ years of construction, property investment and project management experience.

Property developers have different philosophies when it comes to investing. Some opt for higher volume developments, that may incur higher levels of risk. Meridian Capital prefers fewer, carefully considered projects that are tightly controlled.
By investing in fewer projects that are carefully considered and tightly controlled, we can rest-easy knowing we have the parameters in place to mitigate risk. In other words, ‘we never bite off more than we can chew’.

Having invested a considerable amount of our own money into Meridian Capital, we have a strong stake in the success of our projects. As such, we tightly control and oversee every aspect of each development personally.

Meet Zane Beckett

At the helm of Meridian Capital is Zane Beckett, founder of ZB Homes – the first construction company to take the top spot in the Deloitte Fast 50 Index. Privately owned and operating for two decades, ZB Homes is the building company people trust and depend on for quality, flexibility and progress.

Zane is a qualified Master Builder with 25 years experience in residential and commercial development. He has excelled in this industry due to his tenacity and integrity.

Meet Rocco Pienaar

Also at the helm is Rocco Pienaar, a seasoned, dynamic property investor and founding partner of The Kingswood Group.  Kingswood invests in quality facilities and the development of bespoke facilities. The Group has a noteworthy portfolio.

Rocco has cemented great relationships with government in the healthcare and student accommodation space. He achieved this by delivering  transparent, quality services over the last ten years.

Meet Farnie Nel

Farnie is a partner and internationally recognised Commercial Project Manager. He has considerable experience, having worked on large scale projects all over Africa, the Middle East and New Zealand.

Farnie oversees Project Management and is directly involved in the operations of the company. He brings a broad range of business and construction experience to Meridian Capital, having worked on some of the most complex construction projects in the industry.

He is enthusiastic and passionate and works hard to achieve company goals. Farnie keeps his ‘eye on the ball’ and runs a tight ship, because he knows that having the right processes and checks and balances in place is key to a successful project.

The Numbers Behind Our returns

When it comes to investing, it pays to know who is managing your money, the numbers behind the returns and how the investors arrive at them. It also pays to know the types of projects, risk and spread of your investment.

  • How can the investment company afford what they’re promising?
  • Is this level of return sustainable?
  • What are the market volatilities? What is their loan to value ratio?
  • What factors are in place to mitigate risk?
  • How are you protected?
  • Who are they building for and will the demand still be there 12 months – 24 months from now?
